Danielle and Tyler had a baby girl Braelynn! WOW I'm  a Grandfather.
So Judy decided that I should make a cradle for Braelynn!   So Saturday I went to Close's Lumber and got some good straight boards. using some plans a friend found on the internet, I started Saturday evening.
 The wood
The pieces that will make up one side
One side Glued & Clamped
Both sides Sunday morning Clampless

The Headboard glued and clamped

In above pic:

I chose to use those 4 2x2's to keep the joints flat on the mating of the three pieces, just to save any extra sanding

Here is the foot board glued and clamped

Now all the pieces made so far are all glued together to make a outline squared up shape, I will then make the angle cuts and radius's according to plan, on the dried solid components I have made from these pieces

Tune in Tomorrow or the next day? for more about my WOODworking project
Thanks for the interest!

Night 2:

The headboard, and foot board unclamped and ready for 60 grit sanding, all the first sanding was done using 60 grit 3M paper using Mrs. Karnuth's 1/4 sheet Craftsman sander

Cutting the foot board angle in both sides at once, I figured this would help me to cut the angles uniform! Using my methods I can use all the help I can get making things turn out correct!!

Clamped together for sanding the edges

The sides, head & foot boards

the board the bottom is to be cut from, on the saw

ALL the pieces, the boards that will make up the bottom require rip cuts before gluing for the projected width to be achieved, that I believe will be my next step.

while the glue on the bottom boards is setting up, I will mock up the foot, head, and side boards to figure the miter angle of how they meet the bottom
